  WOL CEO Mitsugu Watanabe Awarded for Subject Excellence at the 24th Annual Meeting of Japan Mibyou System Association

  The 24th Annual Meeting of Japan Mibyou System Association was held on November 4 and 5, 2017 at Yokohama Work Pier. The presentation given by WOL CEO Mitsugu Watanabe was awarded for Subject Excellence from among several presentations given by research institutes and universities including the University of Tokyo, Jikei University School of Medicine, Juntendo University, and Keio University. Winning this award demonstrates the excellence of research at our company.

  We participated in the 3rd International Postgraduate Conference on Biotechnology (IPCB), and CEO Mitsugu Watanabe delivered a lecture as an invited speaker

  The Third International Postgraduate Conference on Biotechnology (IPCB) was held from August 24 to 26, 2016 at the Surabaya Institute of Technology in Indonesia, and approximately 120 participants from 11 countries including Belgium, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, and Spain (in the alphabetical order of the countries) attended (photo above.) Following the first and second IPCB, the president of our company, Dr. Mitsugu Watanabe, was invited by the university, and delivered a talk on "A novel antioxidant extracted from oyster (Crassostrea gigas): its permeability to the brain and sleep-improving effects in human" (lower left in the photo).

  "Oyster Forum in Kesennuma" (left photo) was held in Kesennuma City, Miyagi Prefecture on February 7, 2016. The mayor of Kesennuma, Shigeru Sugawara, and the chairman of Branch Steering Committee of Miyagi Prefecture Fishery Union Kuwahara Branch, Masanori Hatakeyama, attended this event together with 180 participants.
