We became one of the 17 pioneer manufacturers in Japan, or one of three firms in Tokyo, to be certified under the government’s GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) program for dietary supplements as of June 2014. GMP is a regime aimed to ensure consistent quality by preventing human error, contamination and quality deterioration throughout the entire manufacturing process.
Our company performs strict quality control by lot in accordance with the GMP standard, in order to deliver safe and secure products to our customers.
We conduct various tests, including physical property tests, probiotic tests, and quality control tests on materials such as packaging, and ship only the products which passed the tests, meeting strict quality standards.
Hardness Test
This test equipment
measures the hardness of Watanabe oyster tablets by adding pressure to crack them. If they
are too hard, they will be vulnerable to pressure, while they will be easily smashed if they
are too soft. We confirmed that the hardness level of our products is appropriate.
Disintegration Test
This
equipment measures how long it takes to dissolve Watanabe oyster tablets. We measured the
disintegration time of the tablets, in accordance with the criteria of the Disintegration
Test of the Japanese Pharmacopoeia, confirming the tablets disintegrate within the base
time.
Moisture Tests
This is a device
to measure the amount of moisture in Watanabe oyster tablets. The moisture amount is
measured by crushing the tablets and evaporating the moisture by halogen lamp heat. As the
water amount is correlated with deterioration of product quality, we can confirm that the
amount in tablets is below a reference value.
Probiotic Tests
In this test, the
presence of coliform bacteria is checked, and the number of common live bacteria is counted.
By measuring the number of live bacteria, we check to make sure there is no contamination of
any bacteria in each production process.
