Watanabe Oyster Laboratory CEO Mitsugu Watanabe was appointed as a board member of The Japanese Institute of Health Food Standards (JIHFS) at a board general meeting held in Tokyo on June 10. WOL was one of 17 pioneer manufacturers in Japan to be certified under JIHFS’s Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) program for dietary supplements in June 2014. GMP is a regime to ensure consistent quality by preventing human error, contamination and quality deterioration throughout the manufacturing process.
